An OKC/Edmond Family Photographer Worth the Drive by Sunny Thomas

Choosing the right family photographer in Oklahoma City or Edmond isn’t just about finding someone with a camera—it’s about finding someone who can create meaningful memories and make the experience genuinely enjoyable.

At DaybreakPics.com, that’s exactly what we aim to do, and one recent client recommendation perfectly captured what sets our photography apart.

“Sunny with DaybreakPics.com has taken our family's pictures twice, and he is our absolute favorite. He makes the entire experience fun, and his work is incredible. We live in Texas, so we have used other photographers for photos in the past as well. None compare to the work DaybreakPics.com does. It is worth it for my family to drive several hours for these great photographic memories. He is very professional and we highly recommend him for capturing any experience.”

When a family is willing to drive several hours—across state lines, no less—that says more than any marketing slogan ever could.

This family had worked with other photographers before, yet chose to return to DaybreakPics in the Oklahoma City / Edmond area not once, but twice. Why? Because they weren’t just looking for photos. They wanted an experience that felt personal, relaxed, and memorable.

Families choose us because they want:

  • A family photographer near Edmond and Oklahoma City who works easily with kids

  • Sessions that feel fun, not forced

  • Images that reflect real connection and personality

  • A photographer they can trust year after year

One of the most common things clients tell us is how comfortable the session feels. That’s intentional.

As a professional family photographer serving Oklahoma City, Edmond, and surrounding communities, we focus on:

  • Creating a relaxed environment where families can be themselves

  • Guiding sessions without making them feel stiff or awkward

  • Capturing genuine expressions and real moments

  • Delivering consistent, high-quality results

When families enjoy the experience, it shows in the final images—and that’s what keeps clients coming back.

Professionalism matters, especially when you’re trusting someone with your family’s memories.

When you book DaybreakPics.com, you can expect:

  • Clear communication and planning

  • Respect for your time and schedule

  • Attention to detail in both shooting and editing

  • A polished, professional experience from start to finish

Whether you’re booking family portraits in Edmond, family photography in Oklahoma City, or another type of session, our approach remains the same: dependable, thoughtful, and focused on quality.

Family photos aren’t just for today—they’re for the future.

They become:

  • Artwork on your walls

  • Albums your children will look through years from now

  • A visual record of your family’s story

Knowing that families are willing to travel to the Oklahoma City area for those memories reinforces why we take such care in every session.

If you’re looking for a family photographer in Oklahoma City or Edmond who delivers both a great experience and timeless images, I’d love to connect with you.

After years of working at home, Starbucks, Panera Bread, and Chick-fil-A, we now have an office we can call our own.  We're located at Edmond Photo which is at 2300 W Danforth Rd, Suite 130 in Edmond, Oklahoma.  We're near the intersection of Danforth and Santa Fe.  It's nice to have a dedicated space to work in.  At Edmond Photo, we also have access to a studio space.  So we are also excited to offer our clients the option of indoor portraits.  It's nice to have that option when the temperature is 105 outside.  We're excited to give you a tour of the place.  Come by and say hello!

Sneak Peek - Varughese Family Portraits by Sunny Thomas

I've had the privilege of taking the Varughese family pictures for several years now.  A few weeks ago, I was able to take newborn pictures of the newest member of the family, Ava.  Today, I took extended family portraits that include both sets of Ava's grandparents and her uncles.  Here are a few of those pictures.
